Purpose

This Quality and Inspection Standard establishes the baseline technical and cosmetic expectations for all parts manufactured through the PartGo network. Unless the Customer uploads a specific 2D technical drawing overriding these defaults, these standards apply to every order.

Dimensional tolerances

If no 2D drawing is provided with specific callouts, the following standard tolerances apply based on the manufacturing process and material:

•

CNC Machining (Metals):

•

Up to 120 mm: +/- 0.125 mm (+/- 0.005 inches)

•

Over 120 mm: ISO 2768-m (Medium) applies.

•

CNC Machining (Plastics):

•

Up to 120 mm: +/- 0.250 mm (+/- 0.010 inches)

•

Over 120 mm: ISO 2768-m (Medium) applies.

•

Sheet Metal Fabrication: +/- 0.250 mm (+/- 0.010 inches)

•

3D Printing (FDM/SLA/SLS): +/- 0.200 mm or +/- 0.002 mm/mm (whichever is greater)

•

Injection Molding: DIN 16901-130 applies to standard engineering plastics (e.g., ABS, PC, PA, PMMA, polyester). High-shrinkage materials (e.g., PP, PE) may require a coarser tolerance group, which will be specified in the Work Order.

Note: Geometric tolerances (flatness, perpendicularity, position) not called out on a drawing default to ISO 2768-K (Medium).

Cosmetic & surface finish standards

•

As-Machined Finish: Tool marks will be visible. Surface roughness will typically be Ra 3.2 µm (125 µin) unless otherwise specified.

•

Bead Blast: Uniform matte finish. Tool marks may still be faintly visible.

•

Anodizing / Plating: Must be uniform in color. Minor racking marks (up to 2mm) are acceptable in non-critical areas unless the Customer specifies rack locations.

•

Deburring: All sharp edges and burrs must be removed, breaking edges to max 0.5 mm unless a sharp edge is explicitly required by the drawing. Deburring shall not violate the dimensional tolerance stated in Section 2 for any critical or functional edge or feature identified in the drawing.

Inspection & audit requirements

Manufacturing Partners must perform at least a standard visual and dimensional inspection before shipping.

•

Standard Inspection: Use of calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges to verify critical dimensions.

•

First Article Inspection (FAI) / CMM: If purchased by the Customer, the Partner must provide a comprehensive dimensional report (e.g., AS9102 format) using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) before the full production run.

•

PartGo Audit Rights: PartGo reserves the right to request photographic evidence, dimensional inspection data, or perform remote/on-site audits for any order prior to or after shipment.

•

Pre-Shipment Packaging & Origin-Marking Check: Before release to the carrier, Partner must verify that the shipment packaging, labels, PO/part/revision/quantity identifiers, and country-of-origin marking match the applicable Work Order and PartGo shipping instructions. If PartGo has authorized container-only origin marking, the designated outer container must carry the required origin marking and must not be opened or repacked after final inspection unless PartGo authorizes it in writing.

Non-conforming parts

Parts falling outside these standards will be classified as Non-Conforming. Non-conformance shall be documented in a written notice identifying the part number, quantity, affected revision, and specific reason for rejection.

Customer remedies for Non-Conforming Parts are governed by the applicable PartGo Master Customer Terms and Order Confirmation. PartGo's allocation of responsibility with its manufacturing network is governed separately by its applicable supplier/partner arrangements and does not reduce the Customer remedies stated in the Master Customer Terms.
